Come for the Workshop, stay for the Practice.
This fall, I am offering two connected events for anyone who wants real tools for real conversations: with your partner, your kids, your coworkers, or anyone you disagree with sometimes (so, everyone, including yourself).
Think of it like meditation: a single class can show you what mindfulness feels like, but it takes ongoing practice for it to actually change how you move through your day. Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is no different. These two offerings are designed to take you from a first taste to a skill you can apply.
And these are skills for the moments when you don't have an AI to help you find the right words; the real-time, real-world conversations at the dinner table, in a meeting, in the car... Because conflict and tension are a normal part of being in relationship with people, NVC gives you a way to move through it without losing the connection.
So what are we talking about exactly?
Option 1: Introduction to NVC
A 2-hour workshop for anyone curious about NVC. No experience needed.
You'll leave with the core framework of Nonviolent Communication and a first sense of how it works, through guided exercises and small group practice, not just theory.
- Date: Monday, September 28 2026
- Time: 6pm to 8:00pm
- Where: Sulis Collective, 2270 Cliffe Ave, Courtenay
- Group size: Limited to 8 people
- Who it's for: Anyone. No prior NVC experience required.
Option 2: NonViolent Communication Practice Group
5 sessions to move from "I understand it" to "I can do it".
This is how the real change happens: with practice. Each session combines a short check-in, real-play practice with feedback, and space to bring situations from your own life and work through them together.
- Dates: Mondays Oct 5, Oct 19, Nov 2, Nov 16, Nov 30, 2026
- Time: 6pm to 8pm
- Where: Sulis Collective, 2270 Cliffe Ave, Courtenay
- Group size: Limited to 8 people
- Who it's for: People with some prior NVC training, whether that's the Sept 28th workshop or a previous course elsewhere.
Is this for you?
Do you feel that there are conversations that you would like to have but don't know how to start them? Important topics that get put under the rug and create tension in your relationships? Would you like that to change? Then this offer is for you!
More practically, the practice group is meant for people who already have a foundation in NonViolent Communication, to keep the focus on practice. If you register for the September 28th workshop, you're all set. If you've learned NVC elsewhere, book a short chat with me first so we can figure out together whether the group is the right fit for where you're at.
Sliding scale pricing
The workshop and the practice group are offered on a sliding scale basis, in an attempt to make the offer financially available, whatever your situation in life is. Assess for yourself which Tier below reflects your current circumstances and take it from there, no questions asked!

About me
I'm Marie Lacrampe, a certified life coach and NVC mediator based in Comox. I first encountered Nonviolent Communication in 2016 and it changed the way I approach every relationship in my life, long before it became my work. I trained as a mediator and conflict resolution coach with John Kinyon. I also completed a life coaching certification through Rhodes Wellness College.
